thanaxoxox, the pictures that I post without any text are mine. The ones with their own titles basically. I suppose it is right that you find them soothing since my only photographic training was in contemplative photography. A one week intensive.

My daughter is a terrible speller but a great writer of stories. I tell her all the time not to let the technicalities stop her creativity and her pure love of writing, for she does love it. Spelling and grammar can be corrected by use of spell check and someone to proof read and edit for you. Never quit what you like to do.

Citadin, I posted a comment to you here yesterday which hasn't shown up. I did like the contrasts of this moment, that was what I was hoping to capture...shadow and light, orange and green, orange plastic and living green. Found right in my front yard yesterday morning.

The man I studied contemplative photography with (for one week) had previously been a professional landscape photographer. He saw photos by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and decided that he didn't really know anything about photography and confined himself to his backyard for a year until he could "see".

I think Shunryu Suzuki might have taken photographs. Not sure if I have the name right at this moment. I'll check into it.

citadin, these latest few pictures were taken with a Canon Powershot digital. Almost all the ones I've posted before that were taken with a Pentax k1000 on slide film, no filters, no special lenses, no flash. Straight up pure photography.
